Ice can be beautiful, and ice can be devistating; for our trees it was the latter. We’ve lost literally hundreds of our trees to this catastrophic storm. For 3 days and nights we’ve lived to the almost constant sound of trees, treetops and branches snapping, crashing and falling under the weight of ice. For the first 2 days hardly 60 seconds would pass without the eerie sound of wood giving way to ice.
