Trellis, stop calling out to me!

I reached a progress point in the Aran Square Afghan we are making for _the Daddy_ around here:

This is the rope cable sqare, my first real cabling experience besides swatching. I’m happy with it. It measures out at about 14 inches square.

So, my reward was to work with this lovely yarn:

on “Trellis-”:http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring05/PATTtrellis.html

That is only at the end of row 4, after 8 rows of seed stitch ribbing, so the pattern is not showing up yet, but I’m concerned with how loose it is and the gauge. I’ve already dropped to size 6 US needles, from the size 7 US that the pattern calls for, but I’m going to forge on and see if it works itself out. Remember, I have several children in this age range, it will fit someone – so I have some room for error.

Now, would someone please:

1. stop me from starting yet ANOTHER project – “Clapotis”:http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATTclapotis.html (which I heard last night on a “Knitcast”:http://www.knitcast.com is pronounced clap-oh-tea – must be francaise, ooh la la!) Just because I know have some yarn to use (Thanks to my Secret Pal), is no excuse!
2. stop Trellis from calling out to me all of the time!!!!
