Our First Lamb 2007

This is so exciting! Blondie, the _’ewe that rammed me’_, delivered an adorable, little, black lamb sometime between the time The Boy was there feeding them last night and when him and MnM went out there to feed them earlier this evening!

The lamb and Blondie both seem to be well – we were able to see the lamb walk around and flitter it’s little tail.

We’re headed out there in the morning to check on them and make sure they have what they need. I’m hoping to see the lamb nurse, to make sure that’s going well, and maybe figure out if we have a ewe lamb (we hope) or a ram lamb, and if it’s a Romney-Shetland cross or a pure Sheltand. Well, I’ll do a lot of observing, and ‘supervising’ my wonderful family – that part is VERY frustrating.

Oh, and the other two ewes (except for the yearling ewe) appear ready to pop soon, too! This is so exciting!
