My First Baby Cardi

And I did it in about a week!

p=.

I forgot to take a photo of it before I wrapped it this afternoon- gasp!
So, we took Mom’s camera and I snuck over to the gift pile and snapped a few pics of our gifts.

Pattern: “Pure & Simple Easy Baby Cardi”:http://www.knittingpureandsimple.com/babycardi.html
Yarn: about 100g or so of Caron’s Simply Soft, a worsted weight, very soft acrylic, in the Sage color.
Needles: Size 6 Denise Needles – magic looped the sleeves.
Notes: I agree – this is an _EASY_ pattern – the only seaming was the seam across the top of the hood. I did the twisted cords for the ties, a technique I had never made but I think they turned out cute.
I started out following the pattern for the newborn size, but ended up adjusting some of the measurements up to between the newborn and 6 month size (next size up). The only thing I might do different next time is size the hood up a bit. I also added a garter stitch stripe across the middle of the Cardi – just for a little character.
