SP5 Questionaire

p{color:maroon;font-weight:bold}. 1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?

_I was raised on acrylics, like Red Heart, and I do use them now and then, but I have recently discovered the wild world of fibers and I’m VERY excited about that!_

_I am interested in spinning and have considered picking up some roving and a drop spindle. I think it would be great to show the kids the whole process- from animal to garment and everything in between – very educational._
_Yes, I have crocheted off and on since I was a little girl._

p{color:maroon;font-weight:bold}. 3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)

_So far as I know I only have seasonal allergies, and more what I might call environmental allergies, but I’m getting tested next month. I’ve not noticed any reactions to anything else._

_Only since March of this year! (2005)_

_Yes, my wishlists are linked here on the sidebar. I wonder if there are any yarn stores that setup wishlists? hmmm…_

_Vanilla, cucumber and jasmine._

_Don’t we all? Mmmmm… with chocolate, who needs therapy?_

Digital Photography – I LOVE making photos both from the camera and post-processing on the computer. I’ve taken literally gigs of digital photos since my first digital camera in ’98.
_We are currently remodeling our quaint turn-of-the-century home- that can be fun._

_A little bit of most everything – haven’t found a style of music I hate, I just don’t like all of everything. Yes._

_I love Green, sage green, hunter green – just not neons or puky greens. Lately I tend towards the greyish version of colors if that makes sense._

_Happily married, with children, lots of children, ages span from 4-16 years old. A dog (Pickles), a cat (Lasagna), a hamster (Goodie) and son has 2 tanks of guppies (too many to name)._

p{color:maroon;font-weight:bold}. 12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know)

_My children are one of my dreams, I’m living that one. My husband is a dream, tho not sure that is the answer to the question. I have a dream to become a freelance photographer. And we’d love to build our own log home(loosely used term, as our plans are for a LARGE, not a small one) on a nice piece of land, that our children can always come back to, wherever they are in life._

_I tend to like yarns that are soft. I’m really exploring this whole fiber thing, and haven’t experienced too many different kinds, I’m just amazed at what is out there and available – my eyes have been opened!_

_I’m tending to lean away from acrylics and unnaturals, tho I still use them, I’m just so intruiged by how much more is out there, and I like the whole ‘natural’ aspect of them._

_I’d say sweaters, right now. And even as a new knitter, I’m tending towards the not-so-simple. I just discovered cables, and aran knitting. I just have so many projects I want to do, and not enough time to do them all!_

_I haven’t really developed a favorite yet, tho I really enjoyed knitting in the round, my first completed project, a baby cap._

_My project progress is in the sidebar there. I’m doing socks, an afghan, a hat in the round (that is fun) and I’ve started several sweaters (yet to complete one of them, tho)._

_I’m not completely for or against. I think they are currently overdone, probably, but my daughters like them._

_Long straights and circulars._

_Why yes, I am._

_First, I taught myself out of a book, and then I went to my mom to help me really figure it out. Even tho she’s a couple thousand miles away, my friend “Debbie”:http://sternski.com/debbie has been an invaluable source of answers and help. I also am an avid researcher, so I’ve read, experimented, watched videos, and t.v. shows to learn more._

_About 2 months old._

_No major adorations here, tho I tend to be a cat person, if anything, and love my Lasagna._

_Not my birthday but I intend to change that a bit this year. I’d probably say Christmas._

_Children? I know, funny. Or not. I’m a geek – a techie – so I’d probably say gadgets, if anything. I started collecting snow globes many times years ago, but with small children that never worked out, if you know what I mean._

_I just subscribed to Interweave Knits – my first knitting magazine ever._
