Well, I’ve written a lot about knitting lately, but that is my latest “fun”, so that is honestly what is going on in my life, aside from the normal _stuff_.
I’ve even been watching some knitting shows from the “DIY Network”:http://diynet.com off of the dvr. One is “Knitty Gritty”:http://diynet.com/diy/shows_dkng/0,2044,DIY_18180,00.html which is a really fun, trendy show. And then I recently discovered “Knit 1, Perl 2″:http://diynet.com/diy/shows_knt/0,2044,DIY_14324,00.html and that one is a hoot! The host has a *strong* French accent and does the show from her shop in the L.A./Hollywood area, with 3 guest knitters that are always a mixture of actresses, directors, attorneys, moms, etc. At first her accent is cool, then it’s annoying and hard to understand, but after a bit of listening to it I start to understand and enjoy it more. Both shows have similarities and big differences, but I have learned from both of them.
So, my _Knitting News for the Day_ is that I have successfully used 4 double pointed needles! I was really nervous about this task, and I’m not 100% sure all is well with it, but it _looks_ like it’s going well. My project actually resembles that of the image on the pattern, so this is good! I’m on my way to finishing my first project, yay!
