Well I repaired “mom’s old Lombard Powerbook”:http://www.flickr.com/photos/starzabove/3820592/ – man, it makes me want to go back to Mac even MORE!
So, I’m planning to do just that. I’m going to reacquaint myself by using the ancient 333mghz “Lombard”:http://www.lowendmac.com/pb2/lombard.shtml with it’s lovely bronze keyboard (lovely to type on that is, since I have always said that if/when I ever write a book it would be on a laptop with a keyboard that is that responsive, hard to explain). I swapped some RAM around that we had purchased for the ol’ Grape iMac of hers that has also moved in with us, and upped the Lombard from 128mb to 320 mb, so that helps a bit. And we had just upgraded both of the old mac’s to OSX and I must say again it is so OSX-y! I’m going to start using it for email, chat, and some of the work I do via the web (specifically my textpattern CMS(Content Management System) ) for now, and -dream- start saving and planning for one of “these pretty babies”:http://www.apple.com/powerbook/index15.html .
