Well, I just heard on the news awhile ago that while normally our area boasts a near 20% chance, normally, of a white Christmas, this year our odds are improving, and it stands, at the moment, that we have a 50/50 shot at a white Christmas. Here’s hoping!
I still have somewhat mixed feelings, since I normally ALWAYS look forward to snow and get SO excited about it (can you tell I grew up in a scarcely-snowy part of California, or what?), but this year is different. If I didn’t have to go out in it, daily, I know I’d still look forward to it. I’m not a fan of the cold, that is for sure. I actually prefer sweating to teeth-chattering, anyday. But, I do love the beauty, and the peacefulness, and the major transition that snow brings to the landscapes.
So, I’m off to “dream” of a “white Christmas”……… but in the meantime, does it usually snow where you are? Does it look like it will this year? What are your feelings on the subject of the ‘white stuff’? Do share.
