no new is…. no news? and then the news

So the paperwork was supposed to be sent out and started Monday. Nothing.
Actually he tried to get it done on the Friday before so that we’d have it for the weekend, but he at least claimed what seemed a plausible excuse then.
So, after 3 days of trying to contact him I got him on the phone yesterday. He apologizes. Asks if I will phone in at 1:30p.m.
I’m busy at 1:30 so I phone at 2:30p.m. He doesn’t answer his cell phone. Which I know has caller i.d., as they all do.
So, he phones this morning, and the pre-approval certificate is ready, and he faxes it to us.
I just keep thinking that this is NOT how it is supposed to be, it’s supposed to be exciting. I understand that there are hurdles involved and that it’s the biggest purchase one typically makes in life, thus a lot of responsibility, but I really don’t think I should be walking around constantly feeling like I’m going to hurl (it’s there when I’m trying to sleep, too).
Anyone else have any experience to share?
Maybe this means it’s not meant to be?
Possibly this is NORMAL?!?!??
I doubt it.
