Koigu Socks Finished

Well, in the nick of time, and I mean NICK of time – just before midnight, Pacific time, I was weaving in the ends of my koigu socks!
Then I took a nap right there in the chair, following my day of marathon knitting. Over a week ago, I had finished this pair of baby socks that qualified for the “Sock-a-Month Knit-along”:http://knittinmom.blogspot.com/2006/01/sock-month-knitalong.html since that pattern involved all normal sock procedures like turning the heel, etc.

But I wanted to challenge myself. I really wanted to finish a pair a month, and I was afraid if I counted the baby ones for January, that I might do other things and put the koigu pair off to count for February. I have another pair in mind for February. So, under the wire (and so I can go to bed now – the nap was just not enough – here are my finished koigu socks:

Needles: 40″ Addi turbo size 2 – magic loop – two-at-once
Gauge: 6-7 sts/inch
Other details: 2×2 ribbing for the cuff, the main part of the foot and leg were 56 stitches, and there was plenty of yarn left over.
