Gasp! Gag! Gas!

This shows my first full tank since the fuel insanity started. I had refused to fill up my tank, waiting for prices to drop. It makes me ill. Luckily I don’t have to drive much.

There is humor out there about it, like the poster that said, ‘Beer is now cheaper than gas, so drink, don’t drive.’

And there is sadness, like the guy interviewed on the news that remarked about how sad it is to have to decide between a gallon of gas and a gallon of milk – which incidentally both cost about the same.

How is everyone else coping?

  1. $4.09 last night when I got gas, that was WITH the 3 cent/gallon discount. I have not been able to bring myself to fill up the van, it’s just so much money. I filled up my little car a couple of weeks ago – $40. When I bought this car it cost $16 to fill the tank and I thought that was a lot. Sigh.

  2. Glad I have a small car! We’ve been trying to keep the car in the driveway one day a week. With baseball and work that’s pretty tough. No more drive-thru windows, I’m turning the car off and walking in. Planning my shopping so I can do it with as few trips as possible. I’m serious about this because I don’t want it to cut into my FIBER ALLOWANCE!!
