Lost scarf and recent FO’s

I lost my sweet, scarf:

I can hardly believe it. It ended up being mine, by default. I loved the faded autumn colors that I hand-painted myself. The “Rainy Day Scarf pattern”:http://yarndemon.typepad.com/demonic_progress/2005/05/rainy_day_scarf.html was such fun, ribbed, goodness. I wore it everywhere, for days, until I came home from shopping one night last week and it was no longer around my neck. So sad. Who knows when I’ll get around to actually knitting myself another scarf. Ah well.

Here are some of my recent FO’s:

A hat for the Hubster:

Both the Hubster’s and the Grampie’s hats are made from Paton’s Shetland Chunky in made-up-as-I-went-along type patterns. I did make my first attempt at knitting fair-isle, with both hands. I found this VERY awkward, the right-hand/English/Throwing side was just so weird. I am so Continental, lol.

A hat for the Grampie:

And a modified “Mini-Sweater”:http://glampyreknits.tripod.com/glampyrephotos/id62.html for the ballet classes Angel is planning on starting next week:

This I did out of Bernat Softee Chunky for lack of a better yarn on hand in a solid color for the ballet school. I modified “Glampyre’s pattern”:http://glampyreknits.tripod.com/glampyrephotos/id62.html as many have, with tie straps instead of a button, leaving flat sleeves instead of puffed, and just adjusted the size for my dear, 11yo, for a quickie birthday gift (the ballet classes are a very recent thing).

Now to focus on some Christmas gift knitting, oh my – it is definitely time to _List and Prioritize._

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about your scarf. It just sucks to lose something that you created yourself. It was really beautiful.
