Taxes Filed – Sweepstakes Won

I think I beat my own record. The ability to file electronically came online at Intuit’s Turbo Tax on the web yesterday, so I filed today. Healthy federal and state refunds are on their way. Thank goodness – maybe we will eat and pay the mortgage for the next couple of months. I sure would like a new bed and maybe an elliptical exerciser, forgetabout the one thing I’d REALLY love to get…….. I tortured myself by playing with one at Best Buy the other day when the son and I stopped in there. Ah, well…..

Did I mention that I won $1,000?!?!?!? In a sweepstakes drawing for a survey I filled out this past summer for CNET’s Computer Shopper. I was so skeptical, but the check is on it’s way, just in time to pay for some urgent dental work needed by son and I. The ball bounces.
